To record and stream this event, we utilized the Panasonic HPX-300 camera and our PortaCast® Mini designed for the NewTek Tricaster XD300 to handle the live feed, transition clips, and lower third titling. To record the event for editing, we deployed a triple-redundant system, recording HD footage on the Panasonic HPG-20 P2 Recorder and a Direct-to-Edit system using a MacBook Pro. In addition, an MPEG-4 copy of the live stream was also made. A single SDI cable with embedded audio ran from the stage to our truck. Inside the truck was our powerful Digital Rapids encoder, satellite modem, and battery backup. |
